THE DRREAM OF A GIRL CHILD.
By Isioma Angel Okolie. A girl child advocate.
My dream is peculiar to everyone's dream,
To live a happy childhood,
Adolescent and adulthood,
I am a girl child.
I am the way I am,
I didn't bargain for it,
I need to be respected,
Not to love with the fear of the unknown.
I have a dream,
When all this pain and sorrow will end,
And what is left is happiness,
In the lives of every girl child.
Yes! One day,
That day is drawing nigh,
Political differences cannot cause asunder.
Nepotism and degradation will be farther,
The rich greenery grass and trees,
That's the sign of a dream come true,
Watch the bloom.
HAPPY AFRICAN CHILD DAY.
